Gluten-Free Restaurant Awareness Program

Since the year 2000, restaurants have participated in the Gluten-Free Restaurant Awareness Program (GFRAP). GIG (gluten intolerance group) provided education manuals, training materials, consultation and menu reviews. Over 1600 restaurants participated in the program.  This program is now in a transition process.
During 2013 GIG will assist GFRAP participants in the transition to an exciting program:

  • Chef to Plate Gluten-Free Restaurant Awareness Program includes a month-long awareness campaign, during the month of May, internationally celebrated as Celiac Awareness Month. The program will offer support to restaurants on a consultation basis for such services as training and menu reviews. During the year, we will celebrate food services, provide a new restaurant database search feature, and continue to partner with Allergy Eats and Celiac Scene to give restaurants added exposure to gluten-free diners. read more about gluten-free foods at http://www.ihealthy.info
